10 lb down, 42 to go!

After getting stuck at 223 pounds for a week or two, I finally broke the 10 pound barrier yesterday and dropped to 222! You cannot imagine how much of a relief this was to me; I was becoming convinced that I was just stuck forever at -9 pounds.
In comparison to many stories here, this is a tiny amount of weight loss. However I'm lighter than I've been in over 10 years, and more importantly, I finally feel like I've found something that I can stick with for the long haul. In addition, I'm already feeling stronger, healthier, and more awake. My self-confidence and inner willpower has increased, and that's with only ten pounds gone.
Although my friends know I'm "on a diet", I've been very quiet about how much I've lost or how I'm doing. I figured that the best way to show my success or failure is to physically show my success. Because of this reticence to talk with my friends, this forum has been a great way to get encouragement and motivation to keep at it. Thank you!
My ultimate goal is to get down to 180 lb, which is on the heavy side of my "Normal" BMI range, and the weight I was at during high school. Even though that's a long way away, I'm beginning to think that it's possible to make it there, and STAY there. Thanks for the support and the encouragement, and for showing those of us at the beginning of the race how absolutely possible it is to get to the finish line!
