A few weeks ago I set a goal, to be met by the end of April, of Deadlifting 225lbs for 1 rep.
Well, I did it today! I started with a pretty light 135lbs for 7 reps, went to 175 for 5 reps. I decided to try 205lb for 1 rep, and did it with energy to spare. Sooo, I said 'why not try it and see what happens!'
I loaded up the bar and went for 225. It was a struggle, but I did it with good form (and a decent grunt, lol).
My previous record before today was 200lbs for 1 rep.
Now I have to set another goal for April...Geez!
