Hi; anyone used this diet; I am only interested to know if it works & how effective. My new lifestyle is simply eating balanced meals below my calorie intake combined with a lot of exercise
I am really really curious to know, if anyone can shed a light on this!!
Thanks

I've never been on this but my friend is currently doing this. She said there are these phases you go through and the attack phase was the most difficult. She said she lost 4kg the first week and she ate a lot of cottage cheese...and had to eat a lot of meat...I did read the side effect of eating so much protein (like Atkin's) was bad breath and other unpleasant bodily functions...my friend said it's a great diet, however, she finds it difficult to stick with it..so she cheated...a lot...I thought about doing it but after reading the plans, it's not something I can stick to for a long period of time...0

I researched this diet after reading a favourable review in a magazine - it sounds too good to be true. And is actually very hard to stick to, with limited food choices and no carbs at all for the first week.
It might be worth doing for a kickstart though, but I couldn't envisage myself following the plan long-term.0 -
It's an awful diet... far too much protein - even for me on a muscle bulking diet. That much protein will cause constipation and make your body extremely acidic.
I would suggest a healthier approach and advise you to eat 20g of protein + 1g per pound of body weight, a maximum of 50g of carbs a day, and eat as much fat as you want to keep you full.0 -
I've tried it..last year, and I try to stick to some of their principles ow, but find it difficult because I'm a carbs addict. The attack phase of 3-5 days is the hardest..you have a list of only 27 foods that you can choose from and you can eat as much as you like of them. To avoid the constipation you have 2 tablespoons of wheat or oat bran each day throughout the diet.
After the first 5 days you start the main phase..hich is alternate days protein & choose from a good list of veggies to add to your protein on the alternate days..this is where I faltered because I'm not keen on most of the veggies listed..lots of the green leafy stuff..so I ate mainly salad stuff and got bored.
I have to say there was no constipation & no bad breath because unlike the Atkins you are having plenty of veggies.0
