What did you do on Valentine's Day
My husband and I went to dinner last night with friends at a restaurant in our area, I am from
Ontario, Canada. My girlfriend's husband every year gives me a carnation for the occasion. He is very
sweet and a good friend. We ordered from the waitress who by the way was very attentive to us all
and very pleasant which makes for a better tip LOL. My husand and I decided on steak and grilled shrimp
which we decided to share. We had an appetizer of sweet potatoe fries which we also shared. I had one
glass of wine and he had one beer. We also shared our apple cobbler for dessert. So we ended up with
half the calories we normally would have had and we didn't feel stuffed afterwards. We had a lot of laughs with
our friends and a great evening. How did you spend your Valentine Day?

Mine was lovely and wasn't easy on the calories. Oops! The night before, we bought a pizza and a bottle of drink and had a picnic on a blanket in the park. Apart from the people interrupting our conversation (and kisses) with their headlights, it was lovely and inexpensive. In the morning we went to our favourite cafe for a feast: coffee, pancakes, toastie and festive cookies.
