Dinner was tasty, but we were missing a few ingredients. It sort of just felt like any other day. The hubs said he got me something, but it hadn't arrived yet. I guess I believe him! haha

I had a GREAT Valentine's day......worked, received flowers from the hubby, had a work VD party with chocs, red velvet cake, cookies, etc. (not good for the healthy eating), then exercised - Zumba/Curves, and received a chocolate pearl w/diamond accents ring from hubby. No dinner date needed with the treats hubby gave me.

Sorry to hear others did not have such a great VD.

We have a two year old so my husband family wanted us to go with them to Golden Corrall (not the most romatic place lol) and I was so surpirsed that they had quite a few heatlhy options where they displayed the all the nutrition facts near the item description and almost everything was in the mfp app on my phone. I had the potroast, mashed potatoes, green beans, and a roll and only went over by 100 calories for the day. I woke up this morning and my weight was the same.

My boyfriend and I do not live together yet and he had his kiddos yesterday. So we plan on dinner tonight with a four-course fondue experience. But yesterday when I walked into my apartment it was apparent he had been there earlier in the day. There was a fire log in the fireplace (not lit of course because no one was home), a bottle of champagne on ice, a single long stem red rose, two candels, an I Love Yo balloon, and chocolate dipped strawberries with another bottle of champagne in the fridge. Sneaky!!

My boyfriend is HOPELESS when it comes to buying gifts and cards. I always have to remind him about things every day for at least two weeks in advance, including Christmas!

It was no surprise to me that when I arrived down to his house last night with a big teddy and a card, that there was nothing for me!

Now I know that his mum had words with him while I was out of the room!! We went out for a while, as our monthly car meet had been organised for last night, and when we arrived back at his he disappeared into the house and told me to wait outside! He came back out 5 minutes later with a bag. In this bag was a little Me to You cushion, a box of chocolates and a card!

He said that he has people tortured into thinking he didn't get them anything and then he hands them the present as they're going home, but I don't believe it! I think his mum went shopping while we were out!

My Valentines Day could have really sucked. The hubby was working (fireman on a 24 hour shift) and I had failed my first test of my last nursing semester. I was angry, lonely and frustrated. After ranting with my classmates (who also failed), I decided to keep my promise and pick up pizza for the hubby and his co workers. I got two heart shaped pepperoni pizza, cheesy bread and cookie dough from Papa Murphy's and drove over to the station. (btw i didn't bring any home for me)
Our fire department frowns on family visitors but the public can come in at any time for a tour. When I got there my hubby was giving a tour to 4 of the cutest little boys I've ever seen. He was so patient and good with them and trying to show them the gear and what he'll look like if he has to rescue them in all his fire gear and masks. In short, standing there for 30 minutes warmed my heart. We have been debating about when to start a family (i want this year and he wants more time) but seeing him with kids makes me go all mushy and I know when we get there he'll be a great dad. I'll call that my Valentines present.

Thanks for asking, Hubby and I went to Olive Garden

    Apricot Chicken 300 calories
Glass of Moscato wine appx 150 calorie (estimated, s/b less)
tried to go with the least damaging dessert on the menu ..so I went with
Apple Crustini.....how many calories you ask??? My thinking that a scoop of Ice cream, hot cinnamon apples with a little crust how bad could that be...right???

710 calories.... what the (enter curse work here)!!! found that out when I got home :(

Luckily I was within my numbers for the day as I only had breakfast and skipped lunch for dinner.... Phew!!!

Sorry, Got alittle off track there, But it was nice to have a night out just the two of us :)

That could have been real bad.

Thanks for all the responses, looks like some of you got hit by Cupid, well I am glad you all got to spend such a wonderful Valentines day. For the others that it wasn't so well, its ok, it was another day we got to see and be alive and healthy.

I spent my V day like a normal day, of course my wonderful 9 year old son made me a card and told me how much he loved me. That to me is the best feeling in the world.
