That should be fine, I heard about 40-50g in one go is when it starts getting hard to absorb. I regularly take in about 30 in one go and it seems to be fine.0

Excellent question, I have tried to look it up and there are SO many different answers!0

It's between 40 to 50. What the body cannot absorb passes through your system. Don't worry about it too much.0

35 g per serving is what we learned in school for the max amount a body (irregardless of gender) can absorb. (i was a biochemistry undergraduate student). But it's not harmful (per se)...it just comes out the other end so not really a need for concern0

I thought it was like, 10 grams. But I heard it from a cute guy at the gym.0

good question. one question i have which is slightly related is whether or not u shud eat protein and carb at the same time (i know it sounds dumb I usually eat a a balanced meal) but according to one of the instructors at the gym u shud not eat them together. she has a an amazing body so its hard to just disregard this advice but it doesnt sound right to me.0

Finally a good question that doesn't involve TOM or HCG.0

Ask if they meant eat one or the other first. If you were to believe in nutritional typing, which I personally believe has some merit, then there are some rules as to how things are eaten. For me I would eat all my protein foods first before any carbs. I have almost always done that naturally. I don't follow what my type is exactly but here it is.

The answer is between 35 and 50 grams depending on the person and if they pumped or not (imediately after a workout your veins tend to pump MORE blood through them and at a MUCH faster rate hence the veiny and full appearance of the muscle.. this blood carries the protien to your muscles at a faster rate than normal so you can absorb more) I tend to shoot for 50 grams after a workout and between 25 and 35 grams throughout the day.. The way I see it I would rather be at maxx absorbtion than not have enough protien, I mean the worst thing that would happen is your body will dispell the unused. This is all factual and easily backed up by many fitness sites0

Never heard of that. I have heard carbs and fat together is not a great idea (high gi carbs like sugar e.g. but low gi not so much). Every single meal I have carbs in has protein as well.0 -
Great article by Alan Aragon.Looking at simple logic first
Let’s imagine an experiment involving two relatively lean 200 lb individuals. For the purposes of this illustration, I’ll assign a daily amount of protein known to adequately support the needs of the athletic population. We’ll give Person A 150 g protein spread over five meals at 30 g each. We’ll give Person B the same amount of protein, but in a single meal. Let’s say that this meal consists of a 16 oz steak, chased with a shake containing two scoops of protein powder.
If we really believed that only 30 g protein can be handled by the body in a single meal, then Person B would eventually run into protein deficiency symptoms because he supposedly is only absorbing a total of 30 g out of the 150 g we’re giving him. At 30 g/day, he’s only getting 0.33 g/kg of bodyweight, which isn’t even half of the already-low RDA of 0.8 g/kg. If the body worked this way, the human species would have quickly become extinct. The human body is more efficient and effective than we give it credit for.
The body will take all the sweet time it needs to effectively digest and absorb just about whatever dose you give it. Person A will have shorter digestion periods per meal in order to effectively absorb and utilize the small meals. Person B will have a longer digestion period in order to effectively absorb and utilize the large meal. While the truth in this logic seems self-evident, the important question is whether or not it’s supported by scientific research. Let’s look at the evidence, starting with immediate-effect (acute) studies, then move on to the longer-term trials.
