Advice from the Women Please: Getting rid of bloating durin

I have horrible circulation and lymphedema. I tend to retain some water all the time anyway. However the week before and the week of TOM I almost literally stop peeing because I'm retaining/bloating so badly. I have gained 10 lbs in 3 or 4 days. I won't take diuretics offered by my doctor. I had to be on those for years when I was obese and one of my goals when I lost the weight was to come off all 18 of my medications. I've never discussed this with other ladies before - so I'm just wondering what are some of your techniques and tips for minimizing bloating and getting rid of some fluid at TOM?

    I try to avoid sodium about 4 days prior so that I don't bloat. It usually helps. I also drink more tea during TOM.

    i don't know what TOM is...but i drink a ton of black coffee when i'm bloated.
  • I drink lots of water....nothing in it....distilled is best.

    I just Drink water like no other! and avoid sodium... and also avoid my scale D: haha
  • watch your sodium intake, days prior too and during, eat lots of fresh fruits and veggies (peaches, cucumbers, and watermelon are all natural diuretics), and drink more water....
