that is correct, the topics of religion and/or politics (among others) are off limits on the boards. Mike and Al will probably ban any topic posted about prayer very quickly if you post it.

I knew this wouldn't last. In this country you're just about not allowed to pray anywhere anymore.

true but if your going to allow one well then all should be accepted. From muslims right down to satanists.
religion and politics are topics that cause many arguments, this is a weight loss site there are places for that nobody is keeping you from your religion.

it's not a question of allowing one over the other.

It's a question of volatility. They don't want flaming and fighting on the board. They've banned other posts for arguments in them that have nothing to do with religion or politics or any other hot button topic, and inevitably (as we all know) religious discussions or groups would hurt someone's feelings, even if they don't mean to. That's why they don't allow it (I think).

I'm as tolerant as anyone (trust me, if you only knew), but this is one case where I wholeheartedly support the rule. I respectfully feel religion has no place in these boards, no matter how important it may be to you.

True. Those topics are not allowed on the boards. Just to keep things friendly amongst the differing groups :)

I fully back this rule as well. Not a matter of preference for one or several religions. Just a matter of 'keeping the peace' and minimizing fights on the board. A very tolerant person myself and think this was a smart move by Mike and Al.
