All this nerd talk had me thinking..Ok, fess up everyone...
In HS what were you voted.... most likely to X? funniest? cutest?

Mine is sooo lame...I went to an all girl school and I was voted Most Versatile (give me a break, right)
It was a small school, and I really was very friendly with everyone...I would go to a party with the pot-heads one day, metal-heads the next (yes, we had metal heads living in NJ), jocks the next etc etc

So, spill it...

My husband and I were voted "Most Likely Couple to get Married" - we accepted the cheesy award, and here we are, together 16 years (since 16!) very happily married...

Those are pretty good awards guys!!!

Shannon, I CANNOT BELIEVE that you were a wallflower! Come on!?!? I'm thinking class clown (you are hilarious), most popular (you're loved on these boards)... and on, and on...
    :flowerforyou:

Highschool years can be the worst, I'm glad that is over!!! So much pressure...

Growing up in the military,I never stayed at any school long enough to even know people really.

The funny thing is is that the ones voted most popular, wonderful, cute...yadda, yadda, yadda..ended up anything but. So HA to them!

We had over 400 people in my graduating class, and as I was a drama (theatre) kid I could care less about popularity contests these things invariably turned into. (in other words I was a huge loser. )

    i was voted for nothing.

in high school, i was busy studying, getting good grades for college. my parents were divorced, so my outisde time was spent helping around the house or working at my part time job. i did play soccer, but never had time for the soccer parties or anything.

one of my favorite movie quotes is from Hope Floats

Childhood is what you spend the rest of your life trying to overcome. Beginnings are scary, endings are usually sad, but it's the middle that counts the most. Try to remember that when you find yourself at a new beginning. Just give hope a chance to float up. And it will...

    Haha, don't delete it!!!

I seriously am kinda proud of it. I was a peer helper kid that got along with everyone and ended up kinda being the class counselor. I won lots of awards, just not voted most *whatever*

    Like....

Peer Helper of the year (all four years)
Dramatic Performance of the Year (as Ebeneezer Scrooge in 'A Christmas Carol')
Best Hit of the Season (Varsity Football) *I played Linebacker*

Plus our yearbook staff were all the class snobs, so there was like 10 people (out of 400) that were voted most likey several times in a row. It's no biggy. (Though I was still kinda a loser in High School *D&D geeks ftw!*, most people were, lol)

And yeah, after High School I spent several years doing professional theatre trying to become an actor. I pretty much starved, but it was a great experience. I still miss the stage.
