How do I manage a night out?

Hi All,
I am new here. We all have the odd night out, and although I will eat as healithily as I can, I do not mind having the occasional night out. I lost 8 stone in 10 months a few years ago eating 1200 cals but with one night off per week.
However, how do I manage it on this plan? Do I try to save a few cals - difficult on 1200? Or do I record a guesstimate and just go over?
I will be going swimming, but this is not really extra excercise for me, I swim 2-3 times a week for half an hour and play tennis socially 2-3 times per week, but I count these as part of a healthy, moderately active lifestyle, not additional excercise. I have done this level of excercise for so long my body views it as normal. So I consider my excercise to be factored in already in my designated activity level. I have not got time to do additional excercise on the day.
We all need to be able tomanage this plan within a normal lifestyle, and that includes having a social life!

There anything stopping you from planning the night out as a cheat day where you can go over your 1200 limit? Thats all I do.0

Maybe figure out what your maintenance calorie limit is (go to "Goals" and change to maintain weight from whatever you have it set at) and stay within that for your calories that day if you're really worried about going over for a day.
I definitely allow myself cheat days.0 -
When I can plan ahead, I eat lightly during the day, get my exercise in, and then there is room to kick up my heels and splurge on food. 1200 calories a day isn't much, but when you add an additional 500-600 from exercise and eat lightly during the day you have a lot of calories left for the evening.0

i also have MFP on my phone so when io go out i keep track that way. If you drink stay away from beer. beer has tons of unneeded calories. i like to drink captain and diet coke for 2 reasons i like it its my favorite (only 60 calories per drink) is reason one and reason 2 is it only takes like 2 or 3 at most and im great. so at most its only 180 calories. and at dinner choose the healthy choice like grilled chick salad and i always take my favorite bottle of Fat free dressing in my purse a little trick i learned.0
