I don't know what to say here. But I just started using this thing, even though I signed up a while ago.
For those who have been here a while and know what they're doing, is it bad to burn almost all of the calories that you eat?
Fitness buddies would be great, and I'd love some advice.
I'm trying to get to at least 190 by August (from 245). I know it's a lot to expect but I really want to shed this weight.

  • Hi. I'm new to this myself but I'd love a buddy or three. If you are exercising off almost all you consume you may lose weight too quickly, since you aren't leaving your body much for day to day functioning. If you're able to exercise that much I think it's great, just increase your intake so your net calories are fairly close to goal calories. I've been doing it that way for two weeks and I'm already down four lbs estimated. I have to estimate since I started from an estimated weight and forgot to weigh in for five days! Thus while my tracker shows 9 lb lost, I can verify three and suspect a fourth. Friend me if you like; I'll accept.

My goal is to reach about 160, though I'd be thrilled to simply drop below 200. What motivates me is joint pains, low stamina, and a strong family history of diabetes. This is for my health pure and simple. I dont care about being skinny or looking my best on the beach. Everyone who matters to me doesnt care how I look, so I don't let fat worry me on the appearance front.
  • welcome...

feel free to add me as a friend... we can all use new supportive friends :)
