How often to lift weights?

Hi folks - I'm in the early stages of training for a half marathon. Part of my training is 2 days/week of weight training. I'm looking to tone up all over. I just ordered the 30 Day Shred and am looking to do that 3x per week (as my strength sessions). Will this get me toned? Any suggestions? Thanks!

2-4 times per week. You can split the workouts so that one day you're focusing on the lower half of your body and another day you're doing the top half
duh i missed the 30 day shred stuff. it's amixture of cardio weight lifting and ab work. she does combined moves with the strength training moves and yes it will work. i used 5 and 10 pound weights but found i could have used 15 when i got used to some of the exercises0
