Hey everyone!
I’m Brand New to MFP and I’m stoked! I’ve spent an entire lifetime overweight. A few years back I watched my parent’s health going downhill and thought, “if I don’t do something, that’s me in another 20 years”. So, I lost 80 pounds on my own by watching my food intake and by exercising 4-6 times per week…every week. Mostly on the treadmill and things like crunches.
I kept it off for two years but in the last year and a half I gained 40 back. I was still watching my intake and I was working out but obviously not as well as I thought I was. I was SO happy with the work that I had done and what I had accomplished but now, not so much.
I feel frumpy again and I DO NOT like feeling that way. I want to lose the weight I gained back and a bit more and get toned up again. More importantly, I want to be healthy and feel healthy. I gotta admit, I ride a motorcycle and I felt so much more confident and comfortable when I was leaner. However, how I look is not nearly as important as how I feel.
I still get on the mill but I recently joined a 6 week Boot Camp and am LOVING that! I also started training myself to run a 5k and that is one of my goals. I’m not a big runner, but I want to be able to do a 5k.
So looking forward to great things with you and MFP!
