Apparently i went way over the recommended sodium intake, by eating a grilled chicken wrap from sonic ( which i thought was okay). The sodium for that is over 1,400 but i'm way under calories for the day, so does anyone have any suggestions on anything i can eat with little to NO sodium???

Anything you eat out or pre packaged will most likely be high in sodium.
  • Check my diary and get ideas from there. I never go beyond 2000 mg, but I do eat a lot of raw foods or cook for myself.

A trainer on here posted a thing about sodium and he said that you can flush the extra sodium with water so i would drink like 3 extra glasses

anything that comes out of a can or out of a package will be high in sodium.
try eating more fresh fruits and fresh or frozen vegetables. frozen vegetables are normally flash frozen with no added crap, where as canned vegetables are a nutritional waste land since all the minerals and nutrients have been sucked out and replaced with SODIUM and other gross preservatives.

the national heart association has set the recommended intake of sodium is 1500mg a day, which is very hard to maintain if you eat a lot of processed or pre-packaged foods. but it IS POSSIBLE, because i usually maintain mine around 1500-1900mg a day.

look at food lables and check the sodium before you buy, chances are you can find something similar that is much lower. many items you can buy now are "reduced sodium" or "no sodium added". like tomato sauces and beans.

try incorporating more fresh ingredients into your diet and you will see a difference.

Anything from a restaurant will kill the sodium levels thats for sure.

Stick to your fresh foods, lots of veggies and lean protein---cook it yourself!
