I bought some cocktail shrimp and salad shrimp at the store today. Anyone have any recipes that I could make with these? Thank you!

    cooked or uncooked?
When i have raw shrimp i cover them with garlic powder and Cayenne (with a little olive oil.) grill and serve in lettuce wraps with a creamy guacamole (homemade with tomatoes, garlic, onion and diced avocado.) super yummy.

If already cooked- heat and serve with green giant carrots, spinach and navy beans combo. <- light and delicious

I really like them sauteed with garlic and either olive oil or butter. I also like them grilled.
  • i dont eat shrimp, but my daughter and husband do. We use the cocktail shrimp in stir fry, or with alfreado noodles. My daughter likes them cooked in butter also, but not a healthy thing :)

Stir fry, grilled, steamed with veggies

Tossed with whole wheat fettuccine and roasted garlic laughing cow (melted) or a low cal version of Alfredo sauce.

Merinade in some Teriyaki for a bit, I serve them with the rice a roni fried rice :) really yummy and pretty healthy too!! I make the fried rice with 1tbsp of smart balance light so it is a lot healthier than the package directions!! This is one of my favorites

Another thing i do with shrimp is cook it in the skillet with cooking spray and garlic and onion powder. After its done I mix it in with Pasta Roni (angel hair with herbs)--I use skim milk and 1tbs of smart balance light to make the pasta roni so its pretty low in fat/calories.

Another option is to put them in the skillet with a little dry taco seasoning, then just put them in a whole wheat tortilla!! Yummy

I basically switch out chicken and shrimp with all of my dinners just to switch things up a bit!

I put them in whole wheat carb balance tortillas with sauteed mushroom, onions and spinach with a little fat free cheese.
