the power surged during our first dance. but my bridesmaids chimed in and kept the song going! it was comical! it def didnt ruin the day or anything though!

The day was great for us (mostly) It was supposed to rain that whole week but instead it rained the three days before and a whole week after but not the day of which was so groovy cause the song I picked to walked down the aisle to was Enya - A Day Without Rain

our wedding was during the black out on the east side.. we had to decorate in the dark and have the wedding in the dark
we also had a major storm... hail, wind, thunder, the works
i had someone else do my makeup....
I'm a red head... they put bright red lipstick and purple eye liner on me... My Maid of honor was late (sh e had to have been the worst maid of honor ever) we ran out of food (we had 224 rsvps return and 330 people show up.) our apartment was robbed so i didn't have the money to pay the hair dresser or go on the honey moon.... The hair dresser didn't charge me out of pitty and someone donated money for our honeymoon... all and all'
it was alright.

Mine went pretty smoothly. I think that the only thing that happened was my florist. She had gotten ivy for the pews at the church, and when they opened it, they were all bad so I think I remember her saying that they went to a nearby cemetary! to cut some and brought them back to the church! hahaha
My husband forgot his deodorant and whispered it to me while we were kneeling, and I started laughing! I thought our microphones picked it up on the video but it didn't!
other than that, pretty smooth!
I'm going to my sister in laws on the 12th and she's been a bridezilla! Can't wait to see what goes wrong there!!!

My cousin's wedding... my uncle and another cousin got really drunk and ended up wrecking the reception. Literally. They got into a huge fistfight in the middle of the dining hall, flipping tables, everything. The police had to break them up.

Well.....First my hubby fumbled on the wedding vows, and had to try them over again three times!
Second, when we were putting on the rings, my husband had his left hand out for me to put his on, I for some reason thought it was the wrong hand so I slapped it away and put the ring on his right hand. We didn't even think about it again until my brother mentions, uh hey Penny, you put the ring on the wrong hand lol!
And third, sadly, my husbands stepmother caused a huge scene when the photographer asked for a picture with me, hubby, his mom and dad. That pic did not end up happening! Unfortunatley, because they are all stubborn *kitten*, my hubby and his dad did not talk for a year, and his stepmom still tries to avoid us at all costs!
Oh almost forgot my mother in laws wonderful speech, was all about my husband and his best friend, the girl that dear old mother in law wanted him to marry!
I do have to say despite all this I had the most fun I've ever had....ever, the reception rocked, we are still having people tell us how much fun they had!

:noway: My step-mom tried her best to get in on every picture she could and even had the photographer take a picture of her strapping my heels on (nice black and white shot). Problem is I hate (well.... whats the emotion riiiggghhhttt below hate?) just have no love whatsoever and she was only invited to the wedding because their divorce wasn't final yet and I didn't want to make her mad. She'd already had his old nuts and bolts and tack board (no joke) in the garage appraised so they could be settled in the divorce as well. This from the woman who told friends of the family that she thought my father and I were "having an improper physical relationship" when I was 10 right after they got married.... Sorry didn't mean to go on about that, but her presence alone could have ruined the wedding but I steared clear of her as much as possible.

Ugly babies! Thank goodness someone else has admitted this! My friend has an ugly baby girl and everyone always says how cute she is and I just cringe.

Haha!!! I've never had the heart to say it because it's my husbands best friend from childhood but his friend's little boy was one ugly baby! He's getting cute now, but man! :noway:

I was seven months pregnant and had an abcess on my molar. And it was HOT outside. DANG, just remembering the sweat is AWFUL. Also, I couldn't get into the dentist until the next Tuesday because...well, my dentist sucks. AND my husband decided our honeymoon would be in St. Louis (which was fine) at a gig for his band (not so fine). We spent our wedding night in a hotel room with his bandmates and their girlfriends. With little ol' me and my abcessed tooth and kicking baby and sweat-drenched clothes. It pretty much blew. But the important thing is, he's letting me have a renewal of vows next summer. Because he knew the actual wedding sucked.

The groomsmens tuxs' literally began falling apart an hour before the ceremony, and luckily the lady from the tux rental made it to the church 15 minutes before walking down the aisle! My MIL (who I have yet to meet; almost six years married) didn't show and my hubby was super embarassed. Then, a total *kitten* friend of my husband (who wasn't invited) showed up at midnight wearing jeans and a t-shirt that said "snatch" on it (formal wedding, mind you) and proceeded to dance with the drunk bridesmaids. I had secuirty escort him out. Otherwise, it was perfect!

Edit: And, while getting ready to throw the bouqet, one of said drunk bridesmaids began screaming "it should have been me!" over and over. After, she told me that she was thinner and prettier and therefore should be getting married before me. Gee, I wonder why she's still single!

My wedding reception was nothing to write home about ... Everyone left shortly after eating, and once the booze was gone so my and my husband (still ready to celebrate) went to our local bar. Me and the hubby, my dad, my friend since kindergarten and my bridesmaid and her man were all dressed up still me in my 1k dress and sparkles from head to toe drinkin beer and singing karaoke!! :laugh:

Well the wedding was great. Prefect ! Well the wedding reception was a different story. The minster who married us was all hands on my sister in law. Which she didn't tell anyone till he was gone what happened. So my drunk mother in law called him on the phone and was screaming at him and not using very good language with him (all on video). My parents got so mad at me for drinking. Which I was 22 yrs old. I wasn't plaster or anything I had a small buzz going. They don't drink at all.So they left mad as hell. Other than that it was prefect.
