**I'm re-posting this since I inadvertently posted it as a reply to someone else...

Hello Everybody - I'm new to the site too. My name is Shelly and I'm 40 years old. My issue is that, though I workout like a fiend, I never lose any weight because I also eat like one...pizza! ice cream! Cadbury Eggs! I'm also a runner so I'd like to take some weight off so that I can run faster.

  • ha you sound like me, I love to workout...but also love to eat:) I finally decided to start tracking every morsel that went in my mouth...last Thursday, and thanks to MFP I have kinda become obsessed!! My goal weight is 140, hopefully by May. I live in S GA so it is short weather nearly year round, today was 77!

    I'm definitely proof that you can't lose weight by workout alone! It's passed time I get my diet under control.
