I ♥ Tae Bo!
This is the Dvd I bought:
http://www.walmart.com/ip/14673681
It was $9 in the store though. Love it!
I don't have an HRM. MFP says I burned 400 calories for 30 minutes of Tae Bo..how accurate do you think that is?

If you are really busting your hump it is possible. Boxing, kickboxing, etc.. are extremely demanding if you give it your all.
If you are not... calculate accordingly.0 -
It's actually really close. I used to do Tae Bo all the time (need to get back at it) and had an HRM. I burned about 450 or so in 30-45 minutes.0

I do Taebo Cardio and Taebo Amped every week, and never burn that much, even in the 42 minutes I'm killing myself. It really depends on you though . . . an HRM would be the answer. I burn roughly 300 - 350 calories in 40 minutes . . . 400 if I'm adding jump roping and really going for it 120%.0

A couple of weeks ago I did it and burned over 700 in 50 minutes.0

I'm going to have to do it again with my new HRM...see what it says. I'll give a try this weekend and let you know!0

Thanks for the input everyone I try my best to keep up with the steps and the 8 counts It's super fun and I'm pouring sweat afterwards I've been sick this week and I just bought the Dvd a couple days ago so I've only been able to try it once But starting tomorrow I plan on doing it 5-6 days a week for 30 minutes along with my treadmill for 30 minutes and we'll see what happens0

Well I did 28 minutes of Tae Bo using my HRM (I weigh 155.4) and burned 252 calories. MFP estimate was OVER what my HRM said. I think if I had the Billy Bands it would have been more but 252 is good enough for me!0 -
How much you burn depends on how fit you are. I used to burn a lot of calories on Tae-bo and be exhausted afterward. Now, not so much except with the most advanced workouts. I burn a lot more with other workouts. Having said this, it is an excellent way to workout, and can burn a bunch of calories.0

Exactly. I'm guessing when I did it before, I wasn't as "fit" as I am now. I weighed about the same but I'm guessing I must be healthier now, maybe? Still a good burn, though!0 -
Good job!
That's still a great amount of calories to burn.
I try not to eat back my exercise calories anyways so as long as I have an estimate then thats fine with me. I already feel stronger.0 -
And that's all that matters. As long as you feel better/stronger/healthier, then you are succeeding!0
