so i just bought a new polar FT4 HRM it came with a chest strap which is suppose to be more accurate. my question is do I need to wet the strap before each cardio session, and if so how long do i need to soak it for ??

just dab it with water (at least that's the instructions that came with my ft7)0

The manual says to wet it prior to each session and machine wash the strap as needed.0

If it feels wet to touch still, I don't wet it again.0

I have the FT7 and I always run the strap under water and then kind of wipe it off so its not sopping wet.0
