I am not really new to dieting, but hopefully this time it sticks! I am 21 and have been struggling with my weight for my whole life. When I moved away from home in Washington to Alaska for college I lost about 70 lbs in a very short amount of time, but then I met the love of my life and started a family with him later that year. Throughout my pregnancy with my son I was heavier but healthy for the most part. Right after he was born, I gained all the weight I had lost and then some.....
My wedding photos were embarrassing, and when we recently went to San Francisco on vacation I was disgusted with the pictures of me. I decided it was time to take control of my health. So, here I am...ready to be healthy for my husband and baby boy. 11 lbs down...quite a few to go!

Gotta ask - is that your photo? Beautiful shot! 11 lb is definitely a brilliant start! some days will be better than others, just keep moving forward and remember your 'whys' for doing it. Some lose weight faster than others - doesn't matter. You are you....... I have certainly 'been there, done that' a few times in my life (usually the 45lb stuff) but this time I have taken it slowly, gained strength and found an exercise that I totally adore (running! Yeah, I know it's not for every one, but it is my drug of choice  ) Not far from goal weight now and haven't gained along the way this time! It has turned into a lifestyle , rather than calorie counting. I think that is what has made the difference this time. Definitely a different frame of mind, that is for sure! Love the 'good' days, push the bad days to yesterday (and forgive yourself, don't punish!) and keep moving forward: You will succeed! :bigsmile:0
