My journey thus far...

Today I realized just how much weight I have lost since I had Baby#2 in mid-October. Granted having a baby will do that, but still...
I am 5'4". Before Baby#1 I was always around 150 pounds and wore a size 10-12. Between #1 and #2 I was 160-170 depending on what life was throwing at me at the time and wore a size 14. When I had #2 I weighed around 210 pounds. I never in my life thought I would see a weight on me over 200 pounds, even when pregnant. Definitely helps keep me motivated to never get that heavy again because of remembering how hard it was to do things (even though some was from having someone growing in me, but still, gave me the idea of what being that size would be like for me). I weighed myself this morning and am at 171.1! I can't believe that in 4 months I pretty much lost all my pregnancy weight, when I had never lost it all after having #1! It is just so nice to be able to fit into my regular jeans and dress pants again. They still don't fit like they did and I definitely have more weight to loose so that I get to a more healthy weight for myself. I want to (hopefully) feel good about myself and how I look. I have always struggled majorly with my body image and I still do. I know based on my body type/my build I will never be a 'stick' and I am okay with that. I want to have plenty of energy to do things with my kids and not get tired too quickly. I want my husband to think I look nice and attractive. I want to be a good example for my kids. My goal is to get down to 140 which would be at the upper end of normal range weight for my height. I know these next 30 pounds probably won't be as easy to loose, but I just hope I can stay focused, motivated and on track. I need to learn how to control my cravings - that is my huge hurdle right now - sweets were my thing today because of "my time" coming around and I just gave in and went over with my eating today. My goal is to be at 140 by #2's 1st birthday - hoping for earlier than that though
I hope you don't mind this long post and don't mind my sharing
