I dont think sodium is going to control weight loss like that. Especially over a duration. While it will require you to drink and retain more water, sodium isnt calories. Calories = Energy. Excess Energy (to the tune of 3500 calories per pound) that you dont burn off equate to weight gain.

If your eating health, exercising, and staying the same weight... are you losing inches? You could be gaining muscle and losing fat. That could be looked at as a good thing!

Again I agree with Tim! This man is smart!
Sodium is just going to make you retain water, and you will be bloated for a few days. So make sure you drink more water... I try to get in at least 100oz of water a day... Sometimes more, sometimes less but def my 64oz. But "irregardless" (a word that makes J want to scream!) you should keep your sodium as low as possible.. for me it's hard, personally. So I just take the bloating and drink my water... lol

If I am in one of my Salt Lick Cycles, I try to drink more water than normal (my body is craving it anyways), and go for a LONG slow run (45 to 60 minutes at 8 to 10 min miles) followed a round in a Jacuzzi or Steam Room. That usually gets the salt out of me!

I always like watching Marines on long humps (20 miles or more). You can see which ones have WAY too much salt going on because it shows on their boots and uniforms!
