This week it has been so pretty outside I have been walking instead of doing my videos and what not. I am walking a hour and doing a couple miles. Can you lose weight with just walking or do i need to start adding something else in beside just walking

    I started out just walking and easily lost 10 pounds with that and watching what I eat. Just try to keep a good pace and your heart rate up.

    Yes, walking works to lose weight. Just keep posting your food log and you will lose weight. It's been a week for me since I started Fitness Pal and I've lose 1.8 pounds. I've been walking about 2.5 miles at a brisk pace every day. Good luck on your program,

    you can surely lose weight with just walking.. People who choose to walk instead of taking a bus or a car, are usually skinnier/fitter.

    Walking is great. As you lose weight pick up the pace a little and increase your time, try to find some hills to walk up. Keep it up!
  • ive been doing an hours walking a day (around 4.3K) since monday and i can already feel a difference in my calves, they feel a lot firmer, seeing results already has spurred me on to do the couch to 5K challenge so i can get more of a cardio workout including jogging. The only thing i found is that walking doesnt burn too much calories...so im not exactly losing weight, but my legs are looking different!

    I've been walking 3 to 4 a day nearly every day for more than 2 years, and it's been great for my legs. I just wish I'd done more to tone the upper part of my body.
