Lat time around I lost 15lbs. I will hold myself accountable and just admit that I was slacking, lazy and stopped the program all together. Well, I'm back. With that 15lbs BACK ON. I have learned a lot here and I wasn't "binging" or "overeating", I just got lazy and stopped working out. I do need encouragement and a lot of it. I am a single mother of 2 girls and they are not the best at keeping me motivated. They are really bad at "Hey mom, let's get frozen custard or grab fast food". So, I do need help. Please add me as a buddy!!!

Yesterday was my first day back. I hit my caloric intake and worked out for 30 min. (I will add time as my body re-adjusts, don't worry!) Hit 4 liters of water as well. My overall goal is to drop 35-40lbs with a wishing goal of 50lbs!

So, please add me and help me stay on track. I need motivation because I am flying solo!!!

Glad you're back but now is the time to change every bodies lifestyle, not just yours. Everyone needs to eat healthy not just you. When you cook, you cook for everybody. This will start everyone out on the right track and everyone will feel better. Plus you will creating a healthy lifestyle for your kids to take into their adult life's and their kids, etc, etc, etc. Everyone wins, not just you.

We will be here for you so if they start giving you flack just tell them this is how it's going to be. period. You're the parent and they are the children and you need to set the stage so that they don't have to go through what you are going through.

I have had the same problem with my kids. Driving through was just easier and faster. Now my entire family and I are 'obese'. I am making my change not just for myself, I am taking the lead that I am hoping my kids and wife will follow. I was an active healthy former US Marine before I met my wife 18 years ago. After getting married we had a out first child right away and time for 'us' went out the door. I have recently explained to my kids 16 and 12 that their mom and I are taking back some of 'our' time. They are both old enough to allow us to do thing we want to do for a change. At 350 lbs I was not going to be able to do much of anything though. I hope ti get down low enough to join the local search and rescue team. I have many skills from the Marine Corps that will be useful there. rappelling down a mountain and 350 is just not happening though.

If I drive thru somewhere because my kids want to I will spout off calorie values on items they want and ask 'really?' When they realize it is a bad choice they think about it more and choose better. The problem is that they do not realize which choices for food are bad since they were raised on quick and easy processed foods. My wife and daughter both say my voice is in their head when they are making choices now, that makes me happy. My daughter has already dropped some weight too. All we can do it provide the tools and hope they make good choices.
