Wow. I had margaritas 2 nights this week and logged a 5 pound gain.
Wow.
I was thisclose to meeting a goal this week.
Now I am 7 pounds away.
What was I thinking?
I know better than this.
I didnt want to waste the mix.
So I "waisted" it instead, lol.

I can guarantee you that you didn't gain 5 real pounds from a couple of margaritas. It's probably almost all water weight. It will be gone within a week if you keep your sodium in check, drink enough water, and refrain from any more alcohol.0

I know how you feel. I had 3lb Chinese food last weekend. I love having my treats and work hard for them, but when that happens I wonder is it really worth it!!
Keep going, you are so close to you goal!!! Best of luck!!0 -
I agree, if you had alot of salt with them... up the water and watch the sodium!
to gain a pound it 3500 cals... times that by 5 def can't equal 2 margaritas Keep your head up!!0 -
Hmm....I don't know...lucky1ns said they had margaritas "2 nights this week"...which doesn't exactly say they had only one on those 2 nights! :-)
Either way, I agree with everyone else, it's more than likely water weight and shouldn't concern you very much.
For me, every time I weigh myself the day after I work out, I gain a pound. If I weigh myself on a day after I haven't worked out, I lose weight.
So once again, don't let that scale concern you!0 -
Yeah...I think it's probably water weight. That, and I ALWAYS notice that the next day after a drink or two, I'm always heavier than the day after not drinking.
Wait a couple of days and weigh in again...I bet you'll be back to normal!0 -

Even if she had 10 a night, it still doesn't equal nearly 5 pounds of calories.0 -

Yep, I definitely hear you on that. I was just joking around and pointing out the fact she never said how many margaritas were drank in those two nights....it could have been a binge! :-)
But like I said I agree with you, even at 10 it won't make a difference, she couldn't possibly make that much weight on that.0 -
mmmmm, margaritas
lol I wanted to be helpful, but that was all I was thinking of as well!!!!0
