I'm sitting here staring at Amazon trying to figure out which Hungry Girl Recipe Book to buy. Anyone have any of these? Which ones are good?

I have the 200 under 200 book. It has tons of stuff from appitizers to desserts. She's also coming out with a 300 under 300. Or it could already be out?

I have all of her books so far and I really love the original the best when it comes to cooking for a larger group of people. So it really depends who you are cooking for. The 200 under 200 is great if you are cooking for yourself. I would stay away from the 1 2 3. I really enjoy it, but something about nuking a lot of my meals didn't sit well with me. I am curious what will be in the 300 under 300 (its due out in March or April).

    So in ranking order...

    1. Original
    2. 200 Under 200
    3. 1-2-3

while i liked the concept of the Hungry Girl books (I bought one a while back), I noticed two things. 1) all recipes are single servings (making it a bit more work to quadruple everything for a family of 4 - and I am a bit lazy in the math department) and 2) I noticed a LOT (if not most/all) recipes use prepackaged ingredients - not 'from scratch' ... this is great for people on the go - but I was / am trying to move away from using predominantly processed foods...

If you are cooking for more than one person, and like to cook - I would suggest the Eat, Shrink and Be Merry / Looney Spoons / Crazy Plates series. I have yet to make a bad recipe out of the, there are lots of 'snacks, entrées. salads and soups (and vegetarian stuff) - not just main meals' (with pretty good calorie counts)
