From skinny to fat

Hey guys,

I'm Sarah, 23 and live in New Zealand. I used to be one of those people who could eat what they wanted and never put on weight. But even as a NZ size 8 I still thought I was fat. I ended up with an eating disorder and restricted my daily food intake immensely. At my lowest weight I was 44kg and a NZ size 6. After about a year and a half I recovered thanks to being on medication for anxiety, but since then the weight has piled on. I put on about 30 kilos in the short period of two years and went up 4 dress sizes.

When I moved out of home I lost 12 kilos, but I'm still extremely unhappy with the size I am now. I'd like to lose another 10-15 kilos, but I want to do it the healthy way. No more starving myself, life is much too short for that.

    hi younger Sarah! I'm Sarah, too! as a child I was a big kid, never went to the doctor or weighed myself but I'd guess I was overweight. As a teen I developed Bulimia, and got down to about 115 lbs. I felt unhealthy and ugly still (and also still felt fat!). After a few years I was able to stop with the Bulimia, and gain a little bit of weight.

    At 23, I was around 130, I met my boyfriend and moved in with him. in the past 2 years I've gained weight, too complacent and happy with my life! Got lazy and ate way too many goodies. I reached 170lbs, and started here in December at 167.4.

    Since then I've lost almost 12 lbs and I feel so much better. This site has really helped me understand food!
  • When I was in high school I had an eating disorder. I was never over weight(until now) but I saw myself as fat. After high school I didn't diet or anything even after i had my child i still drop the weight within a few weeks. Now I am having a hard time. If you want to friend me you can. I think our back stories are the same. Lots of luck to you.
