My SW was 139. My CW is 131 (i pound more than last week, BOOOO). My GW is 122-124 (somewhere in there).

I have been STUCK at 130 for 4 weeks now. I'll be the first to admit I haven't been perfect. A girls' weekend here, a couple stressful days leading to vino nights there. Other than that I've been sticking to my diet, exercising regularly and logging in on MFP everyday.

I am just so frustrated why I plowed throught he first 10-ish pounds and now I'm super duper stuck. The scale isn't moving and nothing's changing.

I really fear that the last 5-6 pounds aren't attainable. Like my body wants to stay at this weight. I know that if you create the deficit, your body has no choice but to lose weight.

I guess I'm looking for similar experiences, especially women in similar weight ranges with similar loss goals. What helped you push through? I really feel like I'm at the point where, in order to lose this weight, I'm going to have to run 4 miles a day and eat nothing but chicken and vegetables. That's nuts but maybe it's the only means?!

Hang in there! I think when you're doing everything right, and you STILL don't lose weight is what makes this difficult. Try an exercise you never tried before. Maybe that will help.

I had the same problem once I got to 185 I was there for almost 2 months... What worked for me was calorie cycling... For one week I made sure to stay below my calorie goal [so about 1000 cals] and work out as usual. Then the week following I moved my calorie intake back up to normal [1200] but worked out even harder... A plateau happens when your body gets used to what your doing and wants to maintain so the easiest way out of it is to switch things up a bit... Also make sure you are getting enough protein to build your muscles which in turn help you burn more fat<3
  • I have been exactly where you are! I'm not sure on your height but it sounds like you could now be in the middle of your healthy weight range, so just like you said, your body is happy at this weight and it's going to be tough to make it go any lower. I was stuck at about 137 for over a month. The thing that worked for me was upping my calorie intake. I went from 1200-1300 to 1400-1500 and after a couple of weeks I lost 2lbs. 3 weeks later the scale hasn't gone any lower but I've definitely lost inches. When you're at a healthy BMI, it's tricky, and it requires a bit of a change of focus. You have to try and not get so caught up in the numbers game...it's hard, and I struggle with it every day!

Having said that, everyones body is different and what works for one may not work for another. Either way, I would change something - eat more, exercise less, change your diet, change your workout routine, even just take a week off. A shock to the system should help!
