totally off topic, ANY HAD CELLULITIS? need help

sorry its so off topic but this is the only forum i use online and really need to know what treatment usually is? im pretty sure i have it and i feel really very ill, sick, tired, confused, fussy, hot & cold and just wonderd how long it takes to pass?

any help very much appreciated?

  • You need to go and see your GP. Normally antibiotics is the treatment... you dont say where the cellulitis is? x
  • i got a tiny blister on my toe on monday just gone and it had healed by the wednesday but now its infected my whole toe, have you had this before?

    I used to work on a gastro ward where a lot of the patients were diabetics with Cellulitis... you need to go to your GP as soon as possible if you think you may have this! You should be on anti-biotics and if it's severe that could include IV anti-biotics at a hospital. You need to keep the wound rested too as it can swell, if it's not treated it can get worse and cause major infection to set in in your deeper tissue layers. Don't want to scare you but it can be serious!

    Ditto that......and as its Sat & you are in the UK with little chance of finding a Dr with a Sat surgery. (well in our area anyway).as you have feverish symptoms perhaps a visit to A & E?
