Hi, I've nearly reached my target and would like to keep at this weight rather than keep loosing it and becoming underweight. Anyone had success reaching a target and sticking to it? I'm worried if I increase my calorie intake that i'll just put it all back on again. I'll still be eating healthily and keeping fit and active..how do you maintain the balance though?.... Any tips would be fab!

  • I keep doing what I am doing, except I lowered my goal to a half a pound and once a week I have a cheat (piece of pie) and I have been staying at the same weight.
  • Hiya Katie,
I just did my first week of maintaining and had the same worries as you. I went from 1200 cals to being allowed 1600 cals.

    Hope this helps...

calories in and calories out. get a HRM and it will tell you everything you need to maintain.
  • if you go to your settings and choose update diet, and change it from losing weight a week to 'maintain current weight' then it should give you your calorie intake a day to keep you maintaining :)

OK, ive just checked mine, as im still losing weight, my goal intake is 1230 calories, i changed my settings to 'maintain current weight' and it changed to 1750 calories a day to keep me at my current weight...try that and see if it helps

I would tell you to increase your calories SLOWLY.. if you jump from 1230 a day to 1700, you will see a gain. TRUST ME! you need to do it slowly. baby steps. like 50- 100 a day more, for a week, then if you do ok , add more again.

    good luck
