So apparently I am flat footed and have low/bad arches in my feet. Can anyone recommend a good running shoe for support/cushioning?

  • I recommend going to a running store so they can watch you run and recommend a shoe. I'm flat footed and I have the Nike Lunarglide 2 they are stable, light, and comfortable. But not for everyone so get fitted if you can.
  • I recommend saucony because they are not too fancy or expensive and they are comfortable. You also don't have to break them in like those other shoes.

I agree, going to a running store is your best bet. You can also try shoedog on Roadrunner Sports. They take into account gender, weight, and type of running you do! Sole inserts are also great. They are custom inserts you put in the oven and then into your shoes for a custom fit.

    Good Luck!
  • My advice too. A good running shoe store will watch you run, make recommendations, and let you have plenty of time to help you make the right choice - not one based on a certain brand but the best shoe for you!
