Hi Everyone,
My names Andrew and I am trying to lose a few pounds (well Stone actually) but a little at a time! Several things have made me come to the desion that I need to lose this weight but it is really difficult.
I have a few injuries too which make exercising difficult.

    So you sound like you are British. Am I correct in assuming a stone is about 20 pounds? I, too, am trying to lose multiples of pounds or stone. Hope we can encourage each other! :flowerforyou:

    Yes I am British, A stone is 14 pounds. I'm new to the boards to but I'm sure there is plenty of encouragement to be had here for both of us.

    thanks for checking in on me. You sure have done well, so far! When did you start?
    I've been in a program since September, and had actually lost 11 pounds before I started here.
    Getting harder to stay on track with eating the proper foods. I so want a doughnut!!!!!!

    Sorry only just seen the post (I do wish this forum would send you an email when a topic is updated)
    Anyway, I started in Feb this year. It's funny, I havnt really craved for anything I used to eat and I have surprised myself with my self control. My friend had a heart attack recently and I think this gave me a wake up call. Although I have tried to do something about my weight before but this time I am determined. Even when people sit there and eat my favorite food in front of me I can resist it.
    When I go shopping I walk down the cake ailse and dont even think about picking any up.
    Last week they had some reduced items which in previous months I would have thought nothing about picking up and eating (after I had paid for them obviously) but I just picked them up, looked at the calories and put them back down! LOL.
