The GoWearFit is the OLD version of the BodyMediaFit, it would be the BodyMediaFit you would get.

I have one and LOVE LOVE LOVE everything about it. I can not yet say one negative thing about it and I have been wearing it 24/7 for 2 weeks.
I have no experience with a bodybugg so I can't weigh in on that but I LOVE my BodyMediaFit!

It has shown me that I was undereating. I am eating WAY MORE and not gaining, and I have energy and feel better. Apparently 1500 calories was "Starving" for my body. I am comfortable at 1800-2000...who knew? The BMF knew!

    Hey Robin ...

Once you got it (mine is coming in 3 more days)... how did you adjust your calories? Or better yet, how did you know to adjust your calories. I strongly suspect I am not eating enough ... but I need proof of it!

I was up all night doing research on which one to buy and after reading countless reviews and opinions, found that the BodyMedia Fit had a better software program and the overall site was much easier to use! I just ordered the BMF from Costco.com on sale for $149.99 right now with 12 month subscription. Also, stay away from the Bluetooth, has nothing but problems from what I have read about it!

The only one I know anything about is bodybugg and that's because I have one. I wear it day and night and love it. If you go with a bodybugg I suggest you get the digital display with it. It has helped me so much in keeping on track. It tracks your activity, steps and calories burned. I'll check these throughout the day and if I'm not showing much results I'll up my activity.

    Good luck on your decision.

    emmaleigh -
you'll see once you wear it a full day. It tells you exactly how many calories you burned that day. Which would be your maintenance. If you eat what it says each day, you maintain. If you eat approximately 500 cals less than it says each day, you'll lose approx a pound a week.

MFP tells me 1500 is my "maintenance" at 5'2" 105 lbs.
And I was eating that and tired and weak and still losing a little even though 105 is plenty small and I want to maintain.

I bought this and since I am on the go all day apparently I burn anywhere from 1600 (on the couch all day lazy sunday) to 2400 (12 hour work day on my feet) !!!
    That's a huge difference!
So now I eat 1800-2200 or whatever it says I burned that day minus a little because that's just so MUCH food some days!
I am maintaining for 2 weeks and NOT tired and NOT hungry and feel GREAT!

I'm going to second what she says about the display. I love the one I have for the BodyMedia.
I can look down at it, see that I am at 1400+ cals already at noon and have only eaten 600...AHA! So that's why I feel like crap! Time to EAT! It reminds me that I need to fuel my tank!
Plus the step counter, and the goals...it beeps at you when you reach a goal (that you set yourself on the website)
It tracks your activity...I aim for 3 hours of moderate and 30 minutes of vigorous a day. The moderate I reach by the end of my work shift usually, the vigorous comes from my workouts.

And I LOVE the sleep tracker. The graphs are cool.
I have discovered that even when I am laying down for 8 hours I am only averaging 6 hours of sleep a night. There is a black bar when your asleep, and it's grey when you're just "lying down" and mine fluctuates a lot, so I guess I wake frequently.
I can even see little white lines in the bar where I can tell I got up to pee because I wasn't asleep OR lying down! lol

Robin - Thank you for the information. I cannot wait to get mine, I just wanna know what I should eat ... like no guessing, just be honest. If I need to eat 1600 I will, If I need to 2000 I will. I am just so confused with the whole thing. Since I started training for the half marathon, my weight has increased about 2 pounds, yet I have lost inches... yep color my confused!

Robin you said it in a nutshell. I eat 750 calories more a day and actually lose about a pound every 3 days and I am not even overweight but within my goal weight trying to get closer to the bottom of the goal weight range. I love mine and after checking out mine, my entire family will shortly be running around with these grey armbands.

So basically in a nutshell ... whatever you burn no matter how you did it... eat about 500 calories less... everyday and you will lose weight?

In a nutshell. I even will go between 750 to a 1000 calorie deficit when my burn is over 3000. Of course bodymedia claims a 10% error up or down which means instead of burning 3000, it could be 2700 or 3300. I go with the lower error rate of 2700 and take my deficit from this. So far, it has really worked almost down to the ounce when I do deficit reports and weight loss weigh ins. If you are underfeeding, gradually increase your calories don't add too much at one time.
