I've always measured my hips right where my pelvic bones are...but i did some research and i kept coming across the fact that you're supposed to measure where the fullest part is, even if it means going as low as where your thighs start. Is that really true?? If so, that would mean that my "real" hip measurement is 3 inches more than i thought, because my femur joints jut out a little! wtf! lol

That sounds right to me...the fullest part of your booty is what I've seen too0 -
Measure your hip about 2 inches below your belly buttom0

I personally don't think it matters so much as long as you measure the same spot each time. That being said I've always read to measure the fullest part.0

I have always measured the widest part of my hips too...I guess this is accurate as when buying clothes, you need to know that they will fit over the widest part of your hips.

Its ok........I have also been measuring my hips the same as you. And I have been Measuring my belly from belly button around for my waist.......Well of course my waist is smaller than my belly. As long as you are staying consistent thats all that matters. I left my "belly" measurements for waist and then just keep waist, thighs, arms etc....measurements in my "weigh loss journey journal"0

Ugh, i just lost like 10 self-esteem points. lol And i thought i had proportional measurements. It's not like i can lose the bone that juts out, either.
Well, i guess for my sake i'll keep measuring whre i've been measuring and i'll squeeze into clothes that are 1 size too small. lol

Measure your hip about 2 inches below your belly buttom
that's your abdomen measurements0 -
I've been trying to figure this out too because I've been pants shopping lately.
Everything I've seen says measure the fullest part, basically your "seat." Turns out I was measuring wrong for the past 6-7 months.0 -

Definitely the fullest part... but don't let your self-esteem get hurt! Just think, from the fullest part, is where you will see results the most easily! If you measure your bones, then you will never get to cheer for losing the inches!0
