Hello!
I am 33 yrs old wife and mother who is tired of being overweight. I've been struggling with my weight for the past 10 years (mostly after the birth of my 6 year old son).
I finally woke up one morning and decided I cannot keep carrying this extra weight around. I started counting my calories and joined a gym. So far I've lost 8 lbs (4 lbs since I joined MFP). I feel a little disappointed that the weight is coming off so slowly...but I gotta keep going.
I am looking for a great support group where I can ask questions, get tips and share recipes! I really need to loose this weight and keep it off for good!!!

welcome :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:
This site is fantastic and you can really make it work for you.
My advice is....
Eat ALL of your allocated calories.
Drink PLENTY of water
Enjoy your success!! It may be slow...but you must realise how much a lb of fat is...it's an awful lot!! Every one adds up and you'll soon reap the rewards.
Good Luck :flowerforyou:0 -
Welcome!
This program really works if you work it.
Like said above, try to eat all your calories without going over. I sometime am below but not by too much or too often.
Drink at least the recommend 9 glasses of water.
Make sure to measure, weight and log everything you eat.
Try to get in some exercise as often as possible.
Feel free to friend me.
Good Luck!0 -

Great Job! We all must keep going, I joined MFP only a week ago. I am also a wife and mother of 3 with 4th on the way, so not seeing much weight reduction. I joined MFP to help me stay away from the chips and chocolate bars and stay in a bit better shape throughout pregnancy, since being nearly 34 losing the weight has gotten harder with every one. This is a great support group, you will do awesome!0
