    I love almonds before my workout :)
    Or some fruit.
  • I ALWAYS eat a medjool date before a run, they are the best fuel!!!

    Complex carbs and protien.

    Egg sandwich on wheat.

    Meat on wheat.

    Whole grain pasta with meat.

    Legumes and oatmeal.

    I usually eat a banana or have a shake 30 minutes before my workout. Just enough to not fill me, but gets me through my hour and a half workout.

    I have different things like an apple with peanut butter, weight watchers fat free yogurt with almonds, protein bar or a Chobani Greek yogurt. I try to get both carbs and protein.

  • Saturated fat. About 3 hours prior. It bypasses the liver to get immediately metabolized and burns slow and long.

    Think I can manage the oatmeal or the almonds, not too fond of eating so early in the a.m.. Start my workout at around 6:30 and usually eat my breakfast once I've finished. That's about 9 or 9:15. But getting started is rough. Thanks for the good feedback!:happy:
