Hi everyone! I'm new to the message boards and to this site as well. I've been overweight ever since my daughter was born 21 years ago. I'm finally ready to take my life back. My surgery date has been set for the sleeve on March 14th and I am so excited. Hopefully I can make new friends here that know what it's like to be overweight and the struggle that ensues.     Welcome! I was sleeved on February 2! I feel the same way...I was ready to take back my life and control food instead of having food control me! Best of luck to you on your surgery!

    Welcome! Good luck with your surgery! Do you have to lose a certain amount of weight before you can have it?

    No, with the sleeve, the higher your BMI is, the better. You just have to go on a 2 week liquid fast prior to the surgery so your liver can shrink.
