HELP - Fat burn zone?

I just purchased a polar ft40. Since I am trying to lose weight I should keep my heart rate in the fat burning zone right? But I'm working out on my elliptical and to stay on that zone I have to go pretty slow, like really slow. What's up with that? Am I doing something wrong?

Go at whatever pace you are comfortable with. You'll still be losing weight and getting healthier. There are optimal "fat burning" and "cardio" heart rates.
