Got any tasty recipes?

I thought I would share this yummy receipe, it is really tasty and can be used in dishes you would usually have mashed potatoes in or with a salad to add a shot of warmth. Or add flaked smoked mackerel fillets if you want to make the meal more substantial. I often take to have for lunch at work.

Low GI and very nice!

1 tbsp olive oil
1/2 tsp tumeric
1 tsp med curry powder
2 cloves garlic
1 onion, chopped
250g red lentils, rinsed and drained
690ml cold water
4 tsp Vegetable Bouillion powder
1 hard boiled egg (peeled and sliced)

Dry fry tumeric and curry powder for 1 min in fry pan
Add oil ad garlic and fry for 30 seconds, add onion and sweat until softens
Lentils, water and bouillon powder in pan and boil, uncovered for 10 mins
cover lentils and simmer for 15-20 mins until soft to bite
Stir in egg slices

Enjoy!
