Ok. I have been really trying hard since jan 1st of this year. I have lost 12lbs so far but now I seemed to be stalled. Not sure how to jump start more weightloss. SW 205 CW 193. I'm 5ft even and carry most of the weight in my belly. (ugh) I'm just wondering how many others have hit this and what they did to get it going again?? Any help would be appreciated!

What exercise have you been doing? It might be a great idea to change your exercise regimen to something new to jump-start calorie burning in new muscles. If you've been running, try cycling. Aerobics, try kickboxing. Are there any classes going on in your area?
Good luck!0 -

Join a gym or your local YMCA. They'll keep you exercise entertained.0

I've stalled a few times and what seems to help for me is increasing exercise, protein, and calories for a few days. Are you drinking enough water also? I started to drink 12 cups a day and that seemed to help get things moving too.0

I peeked at your diary and you are eating a lot of processed foods and less whole foods. Try switching it up a bit:) I did and have started to lose again.0

Absolutely. I started dieting around october 2010, I was 226 at my heaviest, I lost around a stone then hit the wall. I ate what I wanted over xmas and new year and finally plucked up the courage to weigh myself new years day. It wasnt as bad as I thought and after my new years dinner, I got back on the dieting wagon on 2nd Jan. I have lost 16lb since then, but 26 in total. I try to find healthier alternatives to treats like walkers crisps are approx 140 kcal, whilst snack a jacks or baked crisps are lower in fat and around 90 kcal. I am more motivated after my little wobble. Dont feel bad, just get through your wobble and get right back on that wagon0

I would try a hypnosis CD. Trust me, it works. Look up Susan Hepburn. You can get her CDs and books on Amazon. I did this and they were great. I then went to see her and had 3 sessions with her. She's fab but you don't need the actual sessions with her - just the CDs will work.0

For me, it usually comes back to food/liquid intake. So, I took a look at your food diary. Looks like you're doing pretty good there. A few days last week, it looked like you didn't get the minimum calories though. You definitely want to get at least 1200 calories a day. Most days, you're under on your sodium content, but if you can, you might want to reduce it some, too. It looks like you're pretty consistent about getting 8 cups of water a day. I would agree with Skinnyme87 though. Eight cups might not be enough. I subscribe to the belief that we should each drink different amounts, based on our weight. So, take your weight in pounds, divide by 2 and drink that many ounces of water a day.
Other than that, relax. The more you stress over not losing weight, the less weight you'll lose. Stay positive. And keep taking daily steps toward a healthy lifestyle. The weight will come off.0
