Thanks:flowerforyou: i will let her know. I dont know just never interested me. I think partly most of my friends say "why dont you wear makeup, you would look good with it". Kinda seems that i would look good only if i wear it. I guess mostly it just never seemed important. :)

I'm a freelance mua also. I'm on a brief hiatus though lol. There was no way I was going to lose this last bit of weight and make it through bridal season lol. Give me your website info and facebook info so I can help you network. Mine is draemua(dot)com and my twitter is the same draemua. Even though I'm up here so much I haven't been up there in months.

Make sure its a school that teaches more than beauty. That you can learn on your own. Try to get into FX. Thats where the money is. Most professional mua's never stepped foot in a school unless it was for FX training. Check out some workshop also. You get a lot of training/pointers and freebies.

No. And depending on your state it might not even require a license. If you want to gain more experience with different products and learn the sanitation part of being a mua try to work at a counter. You will gain a lot of knowledge plus experience. Plus you will build up your kit. I'm a MAC freelancer. When I feel like doing something I put myself on the call list. But I built my clientele in my area based on my skills before MAC. Are you on Modelmayhem(dot)com. If not, sign up and search the photographers in your area. Contact the ones with the best portfolios and set up a test shoot. If they like your work you will get more paid jobs from them plus pics for your port.
