Weird inspiration??

This weekend, I went to Body Vitals, an exhibit at our local museum that teaches visitors about the human body through the artistic display of cadavers. It shows the muscular system, cardiovascular system, etc and uses the donated bodies of athletes, body builders, and other healthy individuals to highlight how beautifully the human body is constructed. It's really fascinating and just packed with information. And yet, while I was there, I just kept getting distracted by my thoughts that "Man, I'd better lose this weight if I want to look like that when I donate my body to science! I don't want that poor med student to have to dig through a foot deep layer of fat to get to my internal organs!" I couldn't (and still can't) get that visual out my mind, and it's now keeping me motivated to stick to my diet and exercise plans!
Do you have any weird motivators? (I know I'm not the only odd one here )

Not strange at all. I went to a similar exhibit called body worlds and they had people of all shapes and sizes and it showed the affect that fat has on the internal organs. It was an incredible eye opener!0

hmmm mine is nothing like that.... i know what youre talking about because ive seen a similar exhibit and all it did was gross me out, lol. but my weird inspiration is the BMI chart and the body fat chart as well. On the BMI chart Im 3 pounds away from being in the middle of being in the 'normal' range and i really want to be in the middle! lol. and the body fat chart, im on the higher end of the chart and i would like to be in the middle as well for now. weird, but its working for me.0

I never thought of that before! I wanted to see the exhibit and it never worked out somehow. But, I did hear that it is an amazing thing to see, and when I see it, I have a feeling that it would make me reconsider the way I'm treating my body too.
Anyway, onto my weird inspiration. I'm no where ready to have kids yet...I think I'm still way to young. HOWEVER, I do know that I definitely want to be a mommy one day. Sometimes when I feel my eating habits getting bad, I just ask myself "If I were pregnant right now, would I want to eat this?" I have no clue why but it seems to help. I eat healthier and drop weight. Now, I don't "eat for two" or binge on ice cream, but I make healthier choices. For example, bypassing my usual 4 cups of coffee and drinking water, almond milk, or juice instead, eating more veggies and greens, and I focus on getting a full range of nutrients at every meal.
I guess I should be making these choices everyday anyway, but the thought helps to shift my mentality to making the right choices.
So, it might definitely sound weird to some people, but hey, it works for me. That's something I just can't argue with. :-)0
