Ok, 5 days left......
Remember, all it takes to make this month a success is to end it one pound lighter than when you started. It doesn't have to be 15 lbs (although I don't think any of us would complain about that great a loss  ) it is about getting healthier and stronger and not continuing the same repetitive routine.
I have been running in the same place for a few months now, and I know it is because I haven't been planning and paying attention to what I am doing. I made a choice to change my routine this week, I am sore as heck today, but I know I worked it! I also made a blank calendar and posted it on the fridge, everyday I write down what exercise I did so it is right there in front of me. Yes I post exercise here, but a calendar on the fridge lets you see just how many days go with nothing written on them and it made me realize I haven't been giving my all.
Lets get it done this month and prove to yourself that you can reach your goals. I would like to know from all of you what you are doing and if you are reaching your goals or running in the same place.

Wow!!! You are an excellent motivator and if you're not in sales or PR, you should be. I have just started this great motivation and LOVE your calendar on the fridge idea!! I am printing one up and starting immediately!
I have been pushing myself to get to the gym at least five days a week because I want to lose 100 lbs! I can't wait and have been doing really well. I started to get a little bored doing the elliptical all the time, so I did 30 min. on the elliptical and then was off to do laps in the pool (one of my favorite things)! I think I need to do different things almost daily to keep me interested and not get bored.
Keep me up on this challenge. I know this would be a great group to be in. :happy:0 -
Hmmm...PR or sales, no I am not in either but maybe I should try something new..lol.
I find that trying to get others motivated helps keep me motivated. Even if no one ever replies to me I have set the stage for my day and where I want to be and I make better choices through the day.
Glad to know that someone is out there today, and glad to help get you going.
As far as boredom goes, I try something new every few weeks and if I like it I add it to my routine and if I absolutely hate it I find something else to do. A great example of this is the classes at my gym, I really like them so one day I decided to try a new one, well it ended up being very bouncy and "happy", and by that I mean going back and forth across the class floor and high fiving the instructors...:noway:
Wasn't my cup of tea but there seemed to be a lot of people who liked it, not to mention it wasn't the best choice for someone with a foot problem. I guess we won't know what we like until we try it, I guess my mom was right this whole time! :bigsmile:0
