Anyone have a Polar Ft11?

I'm thinking this is the HRM I'm going to go with...wondering who might have this one and what your thoughts are on it? Opinions are GREATLY appreciated!!!!! :flowerforyou:

    I didn't even know there WAS an FT11! ..I can't wait to hear what people say...I love my Garmin 305 for outside (it even tells me how steep the hill I'm climbing is!) but my Polar FT4 hasn't come yet....Some day I'll learn to NOT order things around postal holidays! :grumble:

    One of my buddies just recommended the Garmin 305 and it's on sale on amazon right now for $128!! Ididn't realize they were for just outside and I read some reviews tonight that they weren't based on heartrate vs calories burned...ever see anything about that? I did a search on mfp under "garmin 305" and found info about that. You will have to look it up and let me know what you think.

    I thought the polar ft11 looks nice and is perfect for indoor workouts, as well as outdoor, but maybe I'm wrong. :) I have the gps on my phone so I don't need anything too crazy high tech for outside.

    I think you'd be happier with a Polar FT, I love my Garmin 305 for outside, but I'm going crazy not being able to have something to count my inside workout calories! The Garmin uses HR and distance to figure out calories, so you actually have to be covering ground (or wearing the footpod on a treadmill) to read calories burned correctly. My Garmin would never work for p90x, or dancing, etc.
    How much is the Polar ft11? My ft4 came to $84.

    Not quite sure what the difference is...will have to do my research later. :) I like the orange look and it isn't so boxy. Function is most important though...I think you are right...because this can work for both indoors and out and is waterproof, so if I run in the rain, it's not a huge deal. Garmin has lots of fun things though - like downloading my runs into the computer. :)

    I have a feeling I will end up getting the polar vs garmen but still not 100% sure.
