Having been a yo-yo dieter for mnore years that I can admit to, I am back in the game again. As I work to make this a life style, I do not want to have a scale in the house. Any one have creative ideas on how to track weight loss without needing to have a scale in the house? (Or seeing your weight on a scale??)

You can use your measurements or how your clothes are fitting as a gauge.
  • Take photos of yourself or try your skinny jeans/clothes on once a week.

I have a jean try on day. Once a week I try on the jeans that I'm trying to get into to gauge my progress. If you don't have "goal jeans" in the house, just judge by how your regular clothes are feeling. My scale has not been kind lately, but yesterday I put on the jeans that I've been wearing for a while and they felt a little loose.

Measurements. Take measurements of everything...chest, hips, waist, thighs, ankles, biceps, wrists, neck, etc. Remeasure every two weeks.

How your clothing fits is a good method as well. In addition, there is a store that I go to once a week on Fridays that has a giant industrial scale near the front door, I jump on it every Friday (just in case my home digital scale dies  )
