 well got through one day ok. i have broken my meals into numbers. like 350 calories for each main meal and then three 120 calorie snacks. thats around 1400 calories each day. i do ok up until dinner and then after dinner i want more! I know its because ive fed my body for so long the unnecessary calories it needed, and now it feels deprived! this will take time i know. i am trying to stay busy and not think about food all day. is this normal?

Absolutely....water is your friend, if you feel hungry after dinner pound back a few cups of water and you might be surprised. I struggle this way daily as well, just remember your goal and know it will all be worth it in the end.0

It may also be the quality of your calories. Processed flour and sugars tend to make you hungrier. What kinds of foods are you eating?0

I am a former night time binger. Now if I still feel hungry after dinner (or that need to put my hand to my face becomes to overwhelming) I snack on some fruit. That way I can snack without consuming lots of calories.0

I have the exact same problem I'm trying so hard to change my body to.

Maybe have snacks with lesser calories (fruit or vegis)--that will give you more calories for the meals.
Oh, and your body will adjust.0 -
Hey, so I was just about to make a post similiar to yours. I find myself still wanting food(or just wanting something in my mouth) when I am done with dinner. I frealized that if I am doing some sort of activity, whether it be reading a book or being outside enjoying the nice summer nights, my mind usually can be preoccupied enough to not let me think about that hunger or craving. I know it is easier said than done, but I hope that helps in some way.0

Oh and also the more social I let myself be, the less I think about food. If I am hanging out with people most nights, I dont have to worry about that battle between my mind and the fridge. Try to not sit by yourself a whole lot, go play with the kids, or friends or hubbie, or whatever else there might be!0

:glasses: Thanks.I think I may have to regroup my numbers. Smaller snacks and larger meals for now until my body finally realizes it isn't gonna get its own way! I will give it whirl and keep you posted.0

:glasses: well, im eating just a little of what I fix everyone else. I had spaghetti last night and ate just a bit and left the table. Tonight i will have a hamburger on the grill, (but its only 4oz) and some squash. im a late snacker and feel I need something after dinner and have tried to choose nothing sweet. i ate 1 cup popcorn last night. I am going to the store today to find some veggies and fruit for more healthier ideas. any suggestions?0

Try watermelon while its in season!
Bananas are a good way to stay full.
And if you that you just need to snack, pop a couple blueberries or raisins.0 -
I chew gum when I'm going to eat out of bordom.0
