Need protein ideas!

I'm in the second week of P90x and I'm struggling to meet the protein goal of one gram per pound I weigh. I just bought GNC Whey Protein and had 2 servings of that so that gave me a nice 40 grams but I still need a bunch more! Any other ideas or suggestions. I'm eating lean meat as well...Will my results go drastically down if I don't meet the protein requirement? Thanks in advance.

Get some chobani plain nonfat Greek Yogurt! It has 17g of protein per 100 calories-- I actually add my protein powder to that every morning.
Another option is lowfat cottage cheese-- you can make it savory (with pepper, salsa) or sweet (with splenda, cinnamon, and blueberries).0 -
Fish, chicken, pork, beef, nuts, and things like that have plenty of protein. As long as you're eating, you shouldn't have too much of a problem getting the amount of protein you need.0

OK, so I've never done P90X so I have no clue if there are dietary restrictions...so i'm just going to respond and you can take what you want, or what works best for you, from it
Protein is easy enough to find. The trick is finding the protein that's not loaded with fat (like certain cuts of steak). Also, it's taking the same few ingredients and making something new and enjoyable to eat everyday. When you feel like there's only 4 ways to eat something, it gets old fast.
Lean meat, fish or poultry- these can be added to any meal! Make a breakfast scramble with egg whites, salmon or chicken breast, and some veggies. Add them to salads, have them in a wrap, or make a soup for lunch. Main course for dinner...these are the easiest. Bake, Broil, cook in a pan...
Beans/Lentils- I always rinse them to get rid of the starchy liquid. Blend them up with low fat dairy and spices to make a dip, eat on salads, make a salad with them using a few varieties and veggies like corn with red wine vinegar, olive oil, and herbs, white bean chicken soup, add them to pasta dishes.
Nuts- I add nuts to low fat yogurt (also protein packed) and honey, grind them up and bake them on top of chicken or fish, add to oatmeal, or just snack on them during the day---don't go overboard though!
So basically, by adding something like nuts, low fat dairy, or beans to any dish, you've already increased the protein intake.
Also, if you go to www.nutritiondata.com you can click on nutrient search and set preferences to find foods that are high in protein and low in other things like sugars and saturated fats.0 -

Egg whites, and fish, both great sources, .... and if you hard boil the eggs the night before they are ready to grab and go in the AM0

With my main meal I will always try and have some meat, along with during other meals throughout the day. Chicken is my favourity option but also have beef, pork etc. Cottage cheese, tuna, greek yogurt, egg and nuts are other good sources of protein.
I'll also have 2 or 3 scoops of protein shake a day depending on how much I workout, 24g a scoop for Gold standard 100% whey, and really easy to drink with water, just like milkshake0 -
Yep, lots of chicken and fish and protein powder. If you're doing the Fat Shredder plan portion approach you aren't really supposed to count dairy in as a protein...0

Shrimp - packs a ton of protein into a small amount of calories
Milk - fat free or 1% - has lots of whey protein
Beans - high in protein and fiber
and like others have said - low fat or fat free cottage cheese, yogurt (Greek for an extra protein punch), chicken and fish, tuna, eggs and egg whites, etc.0 -
