I just started Insanity and OMG!!! I could only get through about 1/5th of the workout and thought I was going to die!! Is this normal for the first time? I have been watching my heartrate throughout my exercises and by doing only 1/5th of the workout, my heart rate was in the 170's. That put me into the 80-90%. I'm not sure if I should push myself more since I'm a newbie or just start out slow (but thinks I'm going pretty slow already with 1/5th!!) Did anyone else have this problem? If so, how quickly did you move up? I'm 34 years old and in fairly good health. I have about 15 pounds to lose but haven't done serious cardio in awhile. Any suggestions would be great!! Thanks!

    I have done Insanity and yes it is an OMG workout! He's good about reminding you not to push yourself but you will be surprised what you can take. Just listen to your body. Good luck!!

    Yes, that is completely normal. There is a reason it is called Insanity.
