i love snacking on nuts and dried fruits, especially during school or studying, but im not sure which ones are ok! Some people say not snack on them because they are full of calories, but some say do snack on them because they are healthy and some help you lose weight. Which nuts are ok to snack on while trying to lose weight?

Which nuts would be off? Pretty much any ones you want to eat go for it- just watch out for salted or flavored ones- usually the flavoring is less than perfect nutritionally. But there is no nut that is "bad" for you. They are calorie dense but there are a lot of foods that have a lot of calories- but that also reflects the amount of nutrients that they contain. You can't live your whole life on carrot sticks after all!0

They are high in fat and calories. Some more than others. But it is a good food to eat. Good fat, good calories, protein. Everything in moderation! Watch your portion size with all you're food and you'll be fine.
FYI - I usually eat almonds - dry roasted without salt.
Walnuts are high in Omega3.
Hope this helps.

I like pistachios because they are lower in calories and fat, but they are a tasty treat!0

Any nuts that fit into your macros for the day are great to snack on.0

So far I have gotten a Planters snack mix, Daybreak or something. And a Great Value antioxidant mix with almonds, chocolate, and fruit. The chocolate one was for that TOM. Those two has fewer fat grams than others. I'm OK with eating nuts and mixes like that but I do try to find the lightest ones. I also eat almond butter on toast in the mornings sometimes. It helps on those days when I know I'll be extra active or just really hungry at breakfast.
And, with snack mixes like the ones above, I actually eat the advised portions because I'm aware of the nutrition label. When I buy diet" snacks I tend to eat more, or the whole thing, just because they're not that filling.0 -
Oh and I have sunflower seeds for salads and occasional snacking. And flax seeds that I grind up to hide in meals when I think about it.0

Almonds are delicious and as someone already mentioned Walnuts are high in omega 3. From an e-mail my gym sent to all its members, about two handfuls should give you enough omega 3 in a day. I'm about to start trialing nuts as a school snack. I've got some big days of lectures where I'll need to keep my body constantly refueled.0

I have a serving of almonds every day (usually as an afternoon snack), sometimes mixed with raisins. They are tasty, have no sodium, and have the calories that I usually need to fill my day.0
