Going over on my sugar!

I'm frustrated because it doesn't seem like it takes much at all to send me over my daily sugar allotment. If I have a banana and a cup of yogurt, that's close to all the sugar I'm supposed to have. How do others handle this because I'm just not seeing how it's possible to stay within the limitations! :noway:

Same here. But at least with the banana you are getting "healthy" sugars. Also did you know that a serving of banana is only half! I learned that recently. Try plain yogurt and sweeten it yourself with fruit.

Fruits and yogurt (dairy) contain special types of sugar that help refill liver energy storage levels. Don't worry about it.

OMG, what?!? Only half?? I'm in trouble. Thanks for the info, though. On the yogurt, I do eat plain and cut the banana into it, so that helps some-- all those flavored yogurts have crazy amounts of sugar added!

I know! I couldn't believe it either, but I don't eat bananas...... so not a big deal to me. Good luck!

Okay, that's good to know-- so, does that go for all fruit, or how much of the sugars in fruit should I "count" toward my daily total? Should I only be counting refined sugars?

I cup of grapes is 24 grams of sugar. I always seem to be going over on sugar too. It helps me limit my amounts when I see it written but it seems like sugar is in everything I eat even if it's healthy or low cal. :ohwell:

Not sure what to do about it either but I'm not going to give up grapes just because it puts me at my limit from one serving! I don't believe the 'natural sugars are a-ok' totally thing but I guess at least it's not like getting out processed cane sugar and putting it in coffee.
